The Episcopal Day School of St. Matthew in San Mateo, CA came to SPEC looking to turn their existing run down play area into a fun, energetic, and modern space for their 1st through 8th grade students. Constrained by an extremely narrow and linear site, the school knew SPEC could find something creative and playful while staying within their budget. SPEC removed the existing outdated play pieces and the dilapidated surfacing and replaced it with a bold, bright, and thrilling Berliner playground. Complete with a 24' tall Berliner DNA net tower, an elevated tree house, a Fast Lane slide, and tons of linear rope climbing, this playground has proven to be exactly what the students needed and so much more.
