WHAT IS INCLUSIVE DESIGN for PLAY and SPORT?

Inclusive Design for Play and Sport is primarily about all people having equal access to participate at the local playground, fitness park and misc., regardless of ability, age or comfort level. While people won’t always be able to participate in every activity, the goal is to offer everyone variety of activities at varying levels of difficulty in the same space.

InclusiviTY vERSUS AccessibILITY

Structures that comply with standards addressing routes, surfacing, ramps and ground-level activities are considered accessible. While many are accessible, not all are inclusive. We are impassioned to incorporate elements designed to address the emotional, social and physical needs of every one by building places that are both accessible and inclusive.
